  • The 2-thatched roof Villas are havens of peace and privacy. Measuring 255 square meters, each has its own lushly landscaped gardens courtyard with a rock pond. A raised pavilion provides a shady retreat for alfresco dining, and a private terrace overlooks the gardens. Bedroom is air-conditioned and has a four poster bed. The artworks and soft furnishing reflect the striking colours and weaves of Lombok handicrafts. The luxurious air-conditioned bathroom is glass walled, looking out to a private walled garden.   • Local attractions, events and activities include

  • The Three Gili Islands Gili Air closest island to Bangal Harbour. An island of over 1,000 hectacres, it is the most popular of the three Gili islands. Gili Meno is the middle island and least populated. Gili Trawangau is the largest island, covering 3.5 square kilometers. All islands known for underwater coral gardens. Reefs include large patches of blue-tinted staghorn coral and manu including species of colorful tropical fish. Reefs slope down to 20 metres and provide good diving/snorkeling opportunities amongst unspoiled coral. Regular boat departures from Bangael to Gili Air, around US$15 per person round trip. Location: Hangual Harbour lies 4km south of The Oberoi, Lombok.
  • Ampenan/Mataram/Cakranegara

  • The most populous area of Lombok, these cities are connected by a wide 8km long street but each has a different personality. Armpenan, an old port town, is a maze of small streets, old buildings, Chinese and Arba quarters - a bustling city with lots of character. Mataram is the center of government offices, also the home of Nusa Tengarra Barrat museum. Cakranegara is home to The Mayura Water Palace built in 1744 to serve Balinese court, and of many craft shops, including weaving and art made from the sugar palm tree. Nearby is the Seklakas horse racing field which often hosts events on Sundays and various holidays.Location: Ampenan lies 30 km southeast of the Oberoi, Lombok.
  • Mount Rimjani Volcano

  • A trek for the fit, covering two nights and three days. Recommend tours arranged through reliable agency with guide. At 3726 metres, Mt. Rimajni is the second highest point outside of Irian Jaya. Beautiful sunsets, hot springs with spectacular waterfalls, and the 3km Lake Segara Anak. "Child of the Sea". Bayan, starting point of the trip lies 50km northeast of the Oberoi, Lombok.
  • Sandang Gili Waterfall

  • At the area entrance there is a simple tourist shop and there are over 200 steps down to the base of this waterfall. For the fit, an hour's trek along the riverbed brings you to an even more beautiful waterfall with a waterhole of gold spring water, ideal for refreshing swim. Sendang Gili Waterfall lies 55 km North East ofthe Oberoi, Lombok.
